Summertime is when I complete much of the annual service work at Trinity Laban Conservatoire one of the four big music colleges in London.
These photos show some of the tools I need when doing a restring plus a few pics at various stages of the work. Piano is a Steinway B in the recording studio at the conservatoire. This piano had new Steinway agraffes as well as strings and I also burnished the soundboard. Although a 40 year old piano it was the first time it had been restrung. The same piano had new hammers a couple years ago they were also Steinway original.
