Restoration of a Steinway B

Here are a couple timelapse videos of me stringing a Steinway B from 1969 as part of the restoration process and something we do on this kind of piano every 20 years or so, depending on usage. We do this to get rid of any metal fatigue or rust, and this also allows me to replace the brass agraffes, which can become worn due to playing and, more particularly, tuning. This gives us the most significant potential for clean string contact points and reduces unwanted sound impurities.
